Why Dalet?

Of all the characters, in all of The Vision of Escaflowne, in all the different anime series, what made me want to build a shrine to a character who's so is so obscure that he only has a few lines and doesn't even have a last name? A well a few things really, but if I'm honest the main reason is because I think he's so cute *sweatdrops* ^_^;

I'm particularly fond of all the DragonSlayers, and before I started this site I built one called SlayGround, which I dedicated to them all. But I have always been especially drawn to Dalet and felt he deserved his own little space on the web. Maybe it's the hair, or those pretty, sad lilac eye's, or that "I'm-good-lookin-and-I-know-it" smile of his. I don't know, I can't explain it, so I'm not going to try

Actually, you could argue that despite his lack of screen time, Dalet has rather an important role to play in The Vision of Escaflowne, as it was him that first spoke out in Episode Thirteen, freezing Van in his tracks and allowing Dilandau to escape alive from a battle that would no doubt otherwise have been fatal. Sure the other DragonSlayers joined in, but who is to say that they would have followed his example without his cue?

Another reason for this site was if Miguel can have two shrines all to himself and Shesta can have his own private shrine, then why does Dalet have to get left out, so being a Dalet obsessive I thought I'd take on the challenge. Unfortunately now all the main slayers have shrines except Gatty, awww, perhaps when I've got this one working properly I'll think about making one for him too...unless someone gets there first^^
