The Basics

For those of you who have no idea who Dalet is, don't worry your not alone. He's one of the more obscure characters from an anime series by the name of The Vision of Escaflowne. If you blinked a couple of times you could easily have missed him.
 Dalet takes the role of a DragonSlayer; one of a team of 15 elite soldiers who serve the series' more infamous villain, the insane pyromaniac Dilandau Albataou, but that's another story.( If you want to know more about Dilandau visit the links page).

Personality & Traits

 Although their is no evidence in the series, it is more or less accepted as a fact that Dalet is quite vain, (hence the title of the site). Dalet is no fool though, and knows that he cannot afford to behave in such a manner around his equally vain master, Dilandau, for fear of angering him and suffering his wrath. Dalet is one of Dilandau's favored soldiers, usually third to be called on in times of trouble. Perhaps this is because of his skill in battle, or or his ability to remain calm under pressure, who really knows the truth. (....but I can't imagine anyone doesn't know what happens to the 'slayers, it's pretty much common knowledge!)

 Dalet makes his first appearance in Episode three, The Gallant Swordsman, where he and fellow DragonSlayer, Shesta are getting a telling off for allowing their guymelefs to get damaged during the attack on the Kingdom of Fanelia. But Dalets time in Escaflowne is short, and he exits the series prematurely; ruthlessly killed at the hands of the Dragon, Van Fanel, the series' hero and ruler of Fanalia.
