Dallet's probably my favorite 'slayer, even if he doesn't say much ^_^ We
are first introduced to Dallet in Episode three, The Gallant Swordsman,
where he and Shesta are getting a telling off for allowing their 'melefs
to get damaged during the attack on Fanelia. Poor guys, they got slapped
when if you asked me they're the ones who deserved a pat on the back. Think
about it, the only two Alseides guymelefs we see getting damaged in that
episode are the ones that battle Escaflowne and Balgus. They're the only
two of the 'slayers that were smart enough to realize that Fanelia's king
was likely to be trying to make a quick escape with Escaflowne and get there
on time to stop him. Sure, they didn't win, but what do you expect, they
weren't just fighting an ordinary 'melef; that was Escaflowne! And the stealth
cloakes don't really mean anything when Van has Hitomi pointing them out
for him. I can't help but wonder which of those two 'melefs was Shesta and
which was Dallet, but I guess I'll never know. Anyway, my opinions aside,
I think Dallet is probably Dilandau's No.3 Dragonslayer. When Dilly's in
a tight spot then it's usually Gatty, Shesta and Dallet who get called for,
even in the very end *sniff*. Speaking of the end, I didn't notice this
the first time I watched, but when all the 'slayers are dead except Dilandau,
and Van's charging at him, it's Dallet who is the first of the DragonSlayers
to intervene.
